OUR STORY

Ruskells Chartered Accountants was founded by Diane Ruskell in August 1997. What began as a small practice with just thirty clients has grown into a trusted firm serving over 400 businesses and individuals across Buckinghamshire and beyond.

Based in the historic Tall House on West Street in Marlow, we've built our reputation on delivering big firm expertise with small firm personalisation. Our team of qualified chartered accountants and financial professionals are dedicated to providing the highest standards of service.

Founder & Principal

DIANE RUSKELL

BSc (Econ) FCA

Diane founded Ruskells in August 1997, growing the practice from just thirty clients to over 400. A tax and practice development specialist, she qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. and later became Tax Partner at Brewer Clark before establishing her own practice.

In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family and also enjoys yoga and walking her dog Dallas.

ALISON TAYLOR

PA to Diane

Alison joined us in 2010 and runs the secretarial and administrative aspects of the business as well as assisting Diane with clients' tax affairs. She is trained in the use of personal tax software and has extensive experience of using Microsoft Office.

On many occasions Alison will be your first point of contact with our business. She is extremely friendly, approachable and very happy to help with any queries you may have.

CLAIR BARRY

FCA

Clair joined Ruskells in October 2019. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Andersens and has spent time working for both start-ups and multinationals in the UK and overseas before taking a career break to start a family.

Clair is responsible for personal tax including tax returns, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.

In her spare time she enjoys getting lost in an audio book, whilst (hopefully not getting lost) running.

HELEN ASHWORTH

AAT

Helen started with us in 2014. She is responsible for all aspects of payroll and auto-enrolment administration. Prior to joining us she qualified as an accounting technician (AAT) whilst raising three boys.

Helen lives near Henley and enjoys cooking and skiing.

ILDIKO WARDLE

FCCA

Ildiko joined us in June 2009. She qualified as FCCA in 2004 and has since worked in practice as well as in industry. Ildiko's duties involve bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts and payroll. She is also responsible for annual accounts and corporation tax.

She has in-depth experience with various Sage accounting software.

In her spare time Ildiko enjoys ice-skating and netball.

ERICA ROBERTS

AAT

Erica joined the practice in November 2021. She is responsible for VAT returns, bookkeeping and company secretarial duties. She is also responsible for P11Ds.

In her spare time she enjoys singing in a choir, walking and Pilates.

ROSALIND GILLETT

FCA • Consultant

Rosalind provides consultancy services to the practice, bringing additional expertise and experience to support our team and clients.
